Game Maker

Build one map's worth of art, sound, and units. Nothing here changes the combat math — it just tells the engine what to call things and what to draw.

1 Map Basics

The name of this map and what to call a "homeworld" here — Planet, Island, Base, whatever fits your theme.

2 Your Faction & Computer Players

You're always the player faction. Add up to 5 computer-controlled factions — at play time you'll pick which ones are on your team (e.g. 5 computer players lets you do 3v3 or 2v4).

3 Resource & Mining

Every homeworld gets one of these nearby. Name it whatever fits — Gold Mine, Fishing Ground, Oil Rig — and give it an income rate.

4 Combat Units

Add as many as you want. Stats work exactly like the original engine: HP, attack, range, speed, build cost. Swap a "Cruiser" sprite for a "Navy Destroyer" sprite and it still fights the same way.

5 Sounds

All optional, all .mp3. Skip any you don't have — the engine just won't play that cue.
